Craig Carder brings over 25 years of medical device engineering expertise as the founder and President of C3 Medical Device Consulting. With advanced degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Clarkson University, Craig’s technical foundation spans biomedical and electrical engineering. His experience includes leadership roles at HeartWare (acquired by Medtronic), Haemonetics, and MicroCHIPS, where he specialized in complex implantable devices, connected wearables, and life science capital equipment.
Driven by a vision of fostering true collaboration in medical device development, Craig founded C3 Medical Device Consulting in 2009. He believed in creating long-term partnerships where clients are integral members of the development team, not just customers. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from a solo consultancy to a full-service team delivering expertise in electrical hardware, embedded firmware, cloud solutions, and mobile applications. As the medical device landscape evolves, Craig is championing the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities, helping clients leverage these emerging technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy, personalize treatments, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
